Children may not have the process that they pick up the objective and they ask what and they ask why when they recogonize the objective.

Probably, children almost pick up the objective being based on the five sence, especially visual sense, later they repair the objective by askinig other person in detail.
They notice this is something different compared with other objective.
They judge the difference by color, motion, shape, voice, and so on.
They recongnize the object mainly.
